12 of 12 - August 2011

Another month, another 12 of 12. Head to Chad Darnell's site for glimpses of other people's days.

7:11 AM - T-shirt of the day. My company is letting us wear a company t-shirt on Fridays this summer.

7:53 AM - Our new downtown arena. Looks like a home printer to me.

8:27 AM - Friday puzzles are beasts. The NW and SE weren't too bad, but I had to cheat like crazy to fill in the other two quadrants. I have never heard the words FLEERED and RETS before.

10:42 AM - I have a little 1-cup glass bowl that I use to apportion my nuts for a mid-morning snack. I would likely eat way more than I should if I didn't.

11:31 AM - My company brought in this food truck for lunch today. Mmm, grilled cheese sandwiches.

11:35 AM - My coworker Zeko shows off his Caprese grilled cheese.

11:40 AM - My sandwich - I asked them to put a bit of every cheese they had (I think it was 5 or 6) into one sandwich. It came with homemade potato chips and curried ketchup.

2:57 PM - A mug of hot chocolate. A bit of flavor for the mid-afternoon.

4:57 PM - Carding out of the parking garage on the way home for the day.

5:37 PM - Hitting up Michael's for a frame and a matte.

6:09 PM - The print is a quote from A Game of Thrones that the bookstore where I saw Martin last week had printed up and got him to sign.

7:52 PM - Watching last night's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. His first guest was the delightful Emma Stone.

9:19 PM - Turning in early tonight. Reading A Storm of Swords, the third in George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. You know it's a long book when you're 80% of the way through but have 200 pages left to go.

Mmm, grilled cheese truck!

I wear T-shirts every Friday too. That is my policy, not the company's.

I wish one of my employers had brought in a grilled cheese truck for everyone. That's awesome!

That sandwich looks insane.

You know it's a long book when you're 80% of the way through but have 200 pages left to go.

Well, now I'm intimidated.
