12 of 12 July 2011

It's time once again for a 12 of 12. It's Chad Darnell's brainchild. Pop over to his site to see some other people's days.

6:42 AM - This morning it's Froot Loops and Sunday's newspaper.

7:22 AM - T-shirt of the day: from Roscoe's House of Chicken 'n Waffles in Los Angeles. We ate there after our WSoPC tryouts a few years ago.

7:45 AM - Driving into work downtown. Here's the majestic Louisville skyline.

8:16 AM - Crossword of the day. The Monday Times puzzle is the easiest of the week, and they get progressively harder from there. Tuesday is still pretty easy.

10:00 AM - Today was "massage day" for our floor at work. I was next. It was nice.

12:07 PM - Well, this changed what I was going to do this evening. I saw an offer for a free preview screening of the new Harry Potter film on Twitter and grabbed it up real quick.

12:30 PM - In addition to massage day for my floor, it was "cookout day" for the company. They let us wear shorts for cookout day, which was nice because they had problems with the air conditioning all day.

5:10 PM - On the way home. A storm front rolled through and cooled things off into the 70sF.

9:53 PM - After the screening. They gave us special Harry-style 3D glasses to watch the movie with.

10:19 PM - Yesterday's Daily Show. Jon feels strangely better about the American media after John Oliver tells him about the News of the World phone-hacking scandal.

Stephen finds the name of this German breakfast cheese funny. Oberammergaueralpenkräuterdelikatessenfrühstückskäse. See? Nothing funny about that at all.

11:06 PM - Settling in to bed with A Game of Thrones. I saw that the author is coming to Lexington at the beginning of August and I'm trying to finish as much as I can of the series before then.

Ooh, the storm made everything so dark and spooky! I like it. And I like the HP 3D glasses. How was the 3D? Would it be worth the extra money?

I don't think the 3D really added anything. Not really worth the extra charge, in my opinion.

Chicken and waffles... together? That's new!

I just saw HP-DH #1 a few weeks ago on DVD... I'm interested to see how #2 handles the ending. LOVED the books. (love the 3D glasses, too!)
